Brand Cialis 20mg was developed by the pharmaceutical company LILLY and contains Tadalafil as its main component. Cialis is an effective, reversible, selective inhibitor of phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE 5) specific to cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). When sexual stimulation causes local release of nitric oxide, inhibition of PDE 5 by Cialis leads to increase of cGMP levels in the cavernous body of penis. It results in relaxation of arterial smooth muscles and blood flow to the tissues of the penis that causes erections. Cialis has no effect when sexual stimulation is absent. Cialis improves erection and lets achieve a successful sexual intercourse. The drug acts during 36 hours. If sexual arousal is present the effect appears even after 16 minutes after the medication was taken.
How to take Cialis?
Take one tablet as a whole with a glass of water 30 minutes to 1 hour before the planned sexual intercourse. You can take it with or without food, but you should keep in mind that it may take longer to work if it is taken with a heavy meal. You only need to take Cialis when you are going to have a sexual intercourse.
Cialis, “the weekend pill”, comes in two doses, either 10 mg or 20 mg. It is recommended to begin with the 10 mg tablet and continue if this is effective, as lower doses have less chance of side effects. If you find it is not having the desired effect on your erection after several separate attempts, you can try increasing the dose to 20 mg. If you are still not satisfied with the results, talk to your doctor about other medication solutions for you.
You should tell your doctor or pharmacist if:
You have any history of STD’s, penile injury, or abnormality (e.g., angulations, fibrosis, and priapism, an erection lasting longer than 4 hours).
You have any blood cell disorders (e.g., sickle cell, anemia, leukemia).
You are taking any alpha-blocker (blood pressure) medications.
You are taking any other medications for impotence or HIV inhibitors.
You suffer from any eye diseases or have ever experienced severe loss of vision.
You suffer from any kidney or liver diseases.
You suffer from very high or very low blood pressure.
Allergic reactions to Cialis are very rare, however if you develop a reaction (rash, itching, abnormal swelling, priapism) or experience any change in your response to Cialis, stop taking them immediately and seek advice from a doctor.
Sexual stimulation is the key
All PDE5 inhibitor acting drugs (e.g. Viagra Pfizer), require sexual stimulation for them to take effect. Because these medications will not work alone, it is important to communicate with your sexual partner about the need for sexual stimulation so that the effects of Cialis can be achieved. Thus, it is important to take Cialis before the start of sexual stimulation. If Cialis is not taken before sexual activity, it will not work, and no amount of stimulation will help !
Most side effects of Brand Cialis Lilly are mild and they will stop after a few hours, including headache, indigestion, and a stuffy or runny nose.
A few men experience back or muscle aches several hours after taking Cialis.
In very rare cases some men have experienced sudden vision or hearing loss. Any change in vision or hearing while you have been taking Cialis should be brought to the attention of a physician immediately.
Erections lasting more than 4 hours also warrant medical attention. Prolonged erections can damage the penis and be extremely painful.
Patients should read the information provided with this medication for a complete list of possible adverse effects and interactions prior to taking Cialis or any other medication.
